The information collected indicates that the perpetrator was apprehended in possession of a silver 9mm Browning handgun, which had been reported stolen during a robbery on George Sewpersad Road on July 20th, 023. It was believed that this individual was the mastermind behind a criminal organization that dealt mostly in the production of knives and robberies. Among the victim's belongings taken during the robbery were their firearm, twenty rounds of ammo, and other items. The individual in question was believed by authorities to be hiding in a dense shrubbery between the R102 and the Verulam Taxi stand on Ireland Street, an area known to be heavily drug-infested and difficult to navigate. He posed a serious threat. Undercover cops stood watch while a Multi-Disciplinary Team entered the premises through R102 and Ireland Street. The culprit tried to flee after being seen, but he was apprehended quickly. The guy originally denied knowing anything about the stolen gun, but he later showed police where it was. Now that the suspect is in the custody of SAPS Verulam, the operation was a resounding success and will undoubtedly contribute to a decrease in crime rates in the area.
